Layston Music, is our family-run music teaching business where we focus on nurturing musical creativity. I truly believe that everyone has the right to access high-quality music education, which is why we offer a diverse range of music-making services to all.

 

With over two decades of experience in the industry—performing, songwriting, and touring—I’ve dedicated 20 years to teaching and a decade mentoring individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and mental health challenges. This unique blend of industry insight and teaching passion allows me to create personalised music lessons tailored to each student's needs.

 

I’ve had the pleasure of working with individuals from all walks of life, from seasoned professionals touring the globe to young children taking their first steps in music. At Layston Music, we strive to make learning not just about skills, but a transformative experience where musical dreams come to life.

 

My credentials include a first-class BA (Hons) in Popular Music and Recording, a Level 3 Diploma in Sound Therapy, and qualifications in Understanding Autism & Mental Health, along with ABRSM Grade 8 in both Singing and Piano. I also hold a Full DBS and Public Liability Insurance through the Musicians Union.
